Awareness Calendar
Dear Stellar Staff, Students, and I.S. 235 Community,
As we step into October, we recognize National Bullying Prevention Month. This is a vital time for us to reflect on how we can uplift "R for Respect" in our GRACE core values. Let’s extend empathy, kindness, and understanding to everyone in our school community.
Bullying, by definition, is any unwanted, aggressive behavior that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. It often stems from fear, misunderstanding, insecurity, or the need to control. It can take many forms—physical, verbal, or emotional—and has lasting effects on those involved.
Let’s challenge ourselves to promote kindness and create a culture of respect at our school. Each of us has the power to stand up against bullying by showing GRACE in our actions and words. Together, we can build a safe and supportive environment where every person feels valued, respected, and heard.
Stand with us this month by promoting kindness, standing against bullying, and showing respect to all. Together, let’s create a community rooted in GRACE.
Warm regards,
Ms. Evelyn Mosquea
