Remote Learning Day

Because A.F.N.A. is a small school, students should log in 15 minutes after the start of their first class. Our regular school schedule will remain in place.

What to Expect During Remote Learning

Teachers will provide instruction through a combination of:

  • SEL and attendance check-ins
  • Live virtual lessons
  • Assignments and activities posted in Google Classroom
  • Independent work with teacher support available throughout the day

Student Responsibilities

  • Log in to TeachHub and Google Classroom
  • Attend all live classes and participate actively
  • Complete assigned work
  • Reach out to teachers if help is needed

What You Can Do This Weekend

To help us make a smooth transition, please take a moment to:

  • Check Devices: Have your child log in to their school device to make sure it is working properly.
  • Verify Access: Confirm your child can access both their NYC Schools Account and Google Classroom. Login links are on our Student Resources page.

Election Day is also an opportunity for students to learn about the importance of civic engagement and democracy. Teachers may include age-appropriate activities and discussions on these topics throughout the school day.
